The Eastern and Southern Africa Anti Money Laundering Group comprises:

  • The Ministerial Council (the Council);
  • The Task Force of Senior officials;
  • The Secretariat.
The Ministerial Council will be the key Decision making Body within the ESAAMLG and consist of at least one ministerial representative from each member country.

The Council will meet at least once a year.

The council shall elect a President and Vice -President from among its member provided always that:

  1. The President and the Vice-President may not represent the same member country.
  2. President and Vice-President include among their number one Minister representing financial interests.
Implement any other measure contained in multilateral Agreements and initiatives to which they subscribe for the prevention and control of the laundering of the preceeds of all serious crimes.
