The ESAAMLG Mutual Evaluation Procedures were adopted and approved by the ESAAMLG Council of Ministers in Mombasa, Kenya in August 2008 and amended at the following Council of Ministers meeting in Maseru, Lesotho in August 2009.
The Procedures are to assist and guide the Evaluators and the member countries being evaluated throughout the process of the Mutual Evaluation exercise, from the time of preparation up to the time the Mutual Evaluation report is published on the ESAAMLG Website. The Procedures are also intended to guide the Reviewers and the member countries being reviewed in addressing the deficiencies identified during the Mutual Evaluation under the Post Evaluation Monitoring Process to Provide Implementation of the FATF Standards.
